Fyre is an open-source tool that produces artwork based on Peter de Jong mathematical equation calculations. The Fyre website was last updated on October 9, 2006, so at this point I'm assuming that it is no longer being developed.
However, I want to do whatever I can to let people know about this wonderful piece of software, so I have chosen to host the current version files right here. They are available to download below:
- Windows Binaries (v1.0.0) - (3,222 Kb)
- Linux Source (v1.0.1)* - (320 Kb)
* The Linux download is source code only. You will need to compile the binaries yourself. If you use certain versions of Linux (such as Ubuntu) and have access to the Synaptec Package Manager, you can download binaries directly without having to compile them.
The information and logo on this page were taken directly from the Fyre website. Copyrights belong to David Trowbridge and Micah Dowty. For more information on Fyre, including a link to an online gallery of Fyre images, go to their website at (link will open in a new window).
