I am very fortunate to have a wide range of hardware and software available to me. This page details the various tools I am currently using to create the artwork you see on this site.
Personal Computer My personal computer is my most important tool, because it allows me to edit my photos and generate all of the computer-generated artwork. Building computers is also one of my hobbies; thus, my main computer is custom-built. For those who are interested, my system specifications are:
- Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 920 (2.8 Ghz)
- Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Professional (64-Bit)
- System Memory: 6.0 GB, DDR2 667 Mhz
- Video Card: NVidia GeForce 8800 GTX
Digital Camera Over the years, I have used several digital camera systems:
- Sony DSC-F717 (February 2003 - May 2005)
- Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT (May 2005 - November 2011)
- Canon EOS 60D (November 2011 - Present)
I use a full array of filters, and I own and use the following lenses:
- EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 (Standard Kit Lens)
- EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM
- EF 50mm f/1.8 Mark II
- EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM
Computer Software I currently use the following computer software for my graphic design and artwork creation:
- Adobe Creative Suite 5 - For photo editing and graphic design.
- Autodesk 3ds Max 2011 - For 3-D computer-generated artwork and animation.
- Fyre - Creates beautiful art based on mathematical algorithms. ()
- Deep Sky Stacker - Stacks images of the heavens to improve image quality. ()
- Adobe Coldfusion 8.01 - For creating dynamic database-driven websites.
- Notepad - Yep, I still type all of my website coding by hand!
- Web Browsers - To ensure that my website code works universally, I test all of my websites using Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Google Chrome, and Safari.
