January 2008 - The Sweelinck and Rembrandt Platinum Edition
Johannus has just announced the newest upgrades to its Sweelinck and Rembrandt lines of organs. These beautiful instruments have been fitted with the latest innovations by Johannus Research and Development.
Adaptive Surround Reverb (ASR 12)
Acoustics are essential to sound reproduction. No matter the excellence of the player, a beautiful, lofty pipe organ sound is only created through room reverberation either natural or carefully enhanced. Johannus is aware that acoustics are a matter of personal taste; for example, one organist might enjoy playing in an intimate setting, while another would prefer to hear his organ-playing in a cathedral-type environment. Johannus offers the perfect solution: Adaptive Sound Reverb.
ASR 12 offers the organist the opportunity to customize the acoustical environment with nearly limitless acoustical potential. Twelve unique reverberation schemes are offered: Town Church, Concert Hall, Hill Church, Music Room, Basilica, City Cathedral, Abbey Church, Royal Auditorium, Palace Hall, Marble Church, Village Chapel, and Marble Room.
Seven Super Solos
Real orchestral voices come to life! Johannus Platinum Edition Rembrandt and Sweelinck 37 organs are equipped with seven breath-taking orchestral voices: Clarinet, Oboe, Viola, Bach Trumpet, Trumpet, Trombone and Tuba. The Johannus Revolution brings a new dimension to the organ by adding a virtual instrumentalist at the touch of a switch!
Memory Sequence Piston
Play the most difficult organ works without a registrant! The Sweelinck and Rembrandt Platinum Edition organs have a Memory Sequence piston. When this SEQ piston is activated you can advance to the next general registration previously stored by simply pressing'any' of the general pistons or toe studs. Memory levels are automatically incremented(or decremented with any pedal divisional) as necessary. This enables even the most difficult organ works to be performed independently, without a registrant.
